Professional Theatre Program For Emerging Artists.

Through the Professional Theatre Program for Emerging Artists (PTP), SLAC provides opportunities for students and early-career theatre artists to gain meaningful, fully paid experience by integrating them into the production cycle. This production’s PTP candidate is Alaina Kotchey, Mechanical Engineering and Performing Arts Design student at the University of Utah.

“I hope that I will not only learn new things for my personal approach to design, but be able to build upon the experience that a realized show brings. Considering I have largely worked in the conceptual space of design rather than realized, seeing how things transfer from a built model to a real stage will be super helpful for myself as I gain more experience within my career field. I also hope working with artists both in the Professional Theatre Program and Salt Lake Acting Company will expose me to others in the industry that I will hopefully work with or for in the future.” - Alaina Kotchey
